This is the research log of Zhenyu Ye. I am a PhD candidate in Eindhoven University of Technology. This log is to keep a record of relevant works, sometimes also with my comments and ideas.
Starting from August 2011, the papers mentioned in this blog will also appear in my CiteULike account at:

You can find out more about me on my home page at:

I have two previous logs.
Sept 2009 – Feb 2010: the log during the starting period of my PhD project.
Oct 2008 – Sept 2009: the log during my master project.
Thanks so much for your comment regarding my article “Standing in the Way: Sustainable Future vs. Sloth, Genes, and Entropy” in your Sept. 16, 2010 posting.
Hello,
I’m an undergraduate and currently I’m assigned to do a case study on “toughest problems currently facing micro-architects.”
I’ve done research online but there’s not much solid recent information available for free users..
It would be a huge help if you have a source fits to above case study area which could let me know..
btw,
You got a very interesting log in here..
Thank you..
Hello, Fernando,
Parallel computing, energy efficiency are two tough problems, to name a few.
For the former problem, you can refer to the “The Landscape of Parallel Computing Research: A View from Berkeley” for more detail.
For the latter one, you can refer to “Exascale Computing Study Report” and, a more recent one, Krisztian Flautner’s keynote in Microarchitecture 2010.
